Bourbon Barrel Sailboat

Many of the old sailing ships (think pirate ships, or "Old Ironsides") were built with white oak - the same wood species used in today’s bourbon barrels. It just so happens the tight grain of white oak and its resistance to water, rot and pests are ideal for boats and barrels alike.

That little nugget inspired us to build some boats of our own from the same wood used in bourbon barrels - quite literally. This handsome vessel was handcrafted with the toasty white oak of authentic retired bourbon barrels.
